Details:
- 3-4 month contract position with the possibility of extending or converting
- 100% remote - Must be comfortable with PST hours
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical design process, from concept to implementation, ensuring innovative, engaging, and seamless gameplay systems.
- Act as a liaison between design and engineering teams, translating game design requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive the development of prototypes for new gameplay ideas, collaborating with programmers and artists to test feasibility and refine concepts.
- Provide guidance and support to the design team on technical issues, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee the integration, optimization, and troubleshooting of game systems, working closely with QA to maintain quality, performance, and adherence to project timelines and specifications.
The Background That Fits:
- Proven experience as a Senior Technical or Systems Designer in high-fidelity FPS games for PC/Console.
- Expert knowledge of game design principles
- Advanced proficiency in commercial or proprietary game engines and visual scripting tools.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Unreal Engine, Blueprint, and Unreal GAS (Gameplay Ability System).
- AAA title experience highly preferred.
