WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
- This role is critical in maintaining and improving food safety and quality assurance programs across manufacturing and retail locations, protecting both customers and brand reputation.
- Responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, conducting internal audits, and preparing locations for third-party inspections to uphold industry standards.
- Leads the development and execution of new food safety initiatives, improving processes, training teams, and implementing best practices across the organization.
- Acts as the subject matter expert on food safety and product quality, collaborating across departments to resolve challenges and enhance operational efficiency.
- Supports international and domestic market expansion by ensuring food safety programs are effectively implemented in new locations, helping drive the company’s growth strategy.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
- A strong background in food science, microbiology, chemistry, or a related field, with hands-on experience in food safety programs, HACCP, and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations, audit procedures, and compliance standards, ensuring adherence to industry and government requirements.
- Ability to mentor and train managers and teams on food safety protocols, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Experience in identifying and addressing food safety risks, managing crisis situations, and implementing preventive measures.
- Willingness to travel 95%, including international trips, to oversee audits, support new market openings, and ensure consistency across locations.
