WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Lead OpEx initiatives driving Divisional Operational Margin expansion through implementation of LEAN Practices, Quality Improvements, Freight Reductions, and successfully support of Acquisition Integration and Outsourcing.
Possesses a strong financial acumen, able to collect, format, and analyze data related to complex Strategic OpEx initiatives with a full understanding of P/L impact. Ability to use this analysis tool to provide management with clear, concise solutions to the business' sourcing needs for supply transition, new product development and VA/VE needs.
Assemble and communicate business level reports and presentations related to Supply Chain Management and Operational Excellence Strategies. Consolidate Business Unit performance reporting on Material, VAVE and Operational Excellence savings.
Negotiate short and long term agreements with strategic suppliers to promote guaranteed cost reductions through productivity improvements and reducing Non-Value Add elements in the Supply Chain.
Develop pricing mechanisms for price adjustment based on market conditions with suppliers.
Identify and lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives and utilizes data to target and drive cost reduction.
Develop and maintain a Make / Buy decision strategy for key categories of spend, factoring in major relevant factors to ensure best approach in support of the product portfolio and operational improvements.
Support the development and deployment of Strategic Initiatives across the Division.
Generate all corporate reports and follow-through to ensure adequate movement of all open material cost reduction projects.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university, (MBA) preferred; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and training.
Five - seven years' experience in a manufacturing environment
