WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

The Vendor Management Director will establish the strategic approach to deliver supplier contractual agreements that deliver the lowest cost, reduced working capital, and the lowest risk and consistent supply. They will be responsible for driving this plan through effective negotiation planning, business acumen, supplier relationships, and internal cross organizational collaboration. They will be managing several projects in a dynamic global environment. They will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage P&L for the Vendor Relations department
  • Oversee Vendor Relations team and processes
  • Drive and execute Annual and Strategic Plan to align with business growth and new product introductions
  • Ensure relationship development and management with key suppliers
  • Lead supplier identification, negotiation planning, contracting
  • Apply effective sourcing of supplier risk assessment and contract methodologies to ensure supply continuity
  • Deliver lowest cost of ownership by sourcing with suppliers who have demonstrated a capability to continuously improve and deliver year over year cost of ownership reductions
  • Inventory and lead time reductions

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years sourcing, procurement, contract negotiations experience
  • 10+ years of professional experience working within large matrixed organizations, with proven track record of innovation, delivery, and results
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Project Management and Contract Management Experience
  • Experience in Supply Management/Sourcing/Procurement/Business
  • Demonstrated legal, business and financial acumen
