  • Develops a comprehensive total rewards strategy for the organization

  • Develops recommendations for modifications to align to HR strategy and business goals
  • Supports the development and integration of new and/or existing programs, policies and procedures to ensure that programs are market competitive, internally equitable, and cost effective

  • Engages with employees on benefits issues that arise on a day-to-day basis
  • Manages all regulatory changes affecting benefit plans
    • Ensures company benefit plans and practices are in compliance with external regulatory requirements
    • Manages all ACA reporting activities
  • Ensures company provides competitive retirement savings plans that provide employees with an opportunity to retire at the appropriate time

  • Evaluates the compensation landscape to understand and learn from best practices through benchmarking and industry research and employment trends and makes recommendations
  • Assesses the competitiveness of both direct and variable compensation plans to ensure plans drive employee engagement and retention
  • Supports all compensation planning processes
  • Manages and collaborates with vendors and external partners, including managing performance of contracts to ensure maximum value of services is delivered
  • Develops and coordinates communications strategies and activities designed to educate and inform employees about total rewards
  • Manages wellness, rewards and recognition programs for the company
  • Implement metrics that assesses and monitors the effectiveness of ongoing Total Rewards programs and new initiatives
  • Performs other duties as requested.

 

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, technology, human resources or related field or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) certification, PHR or SHRM-CP a plus
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in Total Rewards (Compensation, Benefits, Wellness) including experience with self-insured plans, as well as people metrics and data analytics
  • Sound knowledge of the Regulatory and Legislative imperatives and impacts related to Total Rewards programs (FLSA, Sec 125, ERISA, 409A, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Experienced with vendor-relations and multi-state employers preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work through processes, identify and implement process improvements and resolve complex matters
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, as well as strong Excel skills
  • Strong organizational/prioritization skills with an ability to multi-task to manage multiple projects while maintaining a close attention to detail
