WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
Support all activities related to the testing and deploying of inhouse telephony platform onsite at client location in Uptown Charlotte in support of trading operations.
Creating, developing, and executing test plans for the integration of proprietary platform in the customer's network and environment.
Support test plans for the validation of monitoring, capacity planning, systems availability monitoring, security support tools, and utilities, while collaborating with internal and client based infrastructure support teams.
Work in a lab environment with other local engineers to troubleshoot SIP traces and VoIP networks.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
5-8 years of experience as a Support Engineer testing SIP and VoIP in a lab environment.
Experience with virtual machine architecture and deploying on a customer based network, Kubernetes is preferred but not required.
Strong understand and background in full stack networking: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Routers, Switches
Experience in various telephony network technologies: Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Voice Gateways, NICE Voice Recording, CTI applications, Oracle ASC, Motorola WAVE 5000s, or the equivalent
Understanding of SIP VoIP troubleshooting and VoIP technologies: TDM, SIP, H..0., MGCP, SCCP, RTP/RTCP, or Codec.
