WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Major digital transformation efforts underway across the company. This is a core leadership role across the Digital and Technology organization.
  • This role is instrumental in leading cross-functional product teams to a predictable release cadence through agile practices - including detailed requirements / user story definition
  • Works in collaboration with Product Managers to translate the product vision and strategy into user stories that can be actioned by delivery teams
  • Manages requirements gathering and user story authoring process between all business and technology stakeholders (product, experience, engineering, QA, analytics, operations, sales, technology, and customers)
  • Authors, continuously grooms, and maintains backlog of user stories serving as subject matter expert on features, user stories and product capabilities
  • Leads user acceptance testing for all new features and enhancements; responsible for approval and acceptance of stories
  • Performs triage on critical issues and communicates consistently with relevant teams and stakeholders
  • Orchestrates program increment and sprint planning
  • Contributes to product backlog prioritization based on business priorities and dependencies with other product and platform teams  
LOCATION:
  • Fort Mill, SC - HYBRID Schedule 

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
  • Bachelors degree or relevant work experience. 
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, writing user stories, and working in an Agile sprint and increment model.  
  • Experience working on Mergers and Acquisitions projects. 
  • Experience working in the Retail domain is highly preferred. 
  • Knowledge and practice of core principles of Agile methodology and development practices including Scrum, Kanban, Lean software development, etc.
  • Extensive experience developing, refining and employing functional project artifacts including business requirements definitions, roadmaps, solution designs, use cases, user stories, process definitions, integration designs, etc
  • Supply Chain or Logistics knowledge is project experience is required. 
  • Experience working with offshore Scrum teams
  • Understanding of systems architecture and integration points. 
  • Track record of successfully translating business-to-technical requirements
  • Passion for identifying and solving real consumer and business problems, and proven ability to prioritize high value opportunities to deliver to market
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously 
  • Strong Jira and Confluence skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-starter, drive, and taking initiative are prerequisites. 
  • Preferred: 
    • Rental, Logistics, Retail or Supply Chain industry experience preferred
    • Certified Product Owner (CSPO or equivalent) preferred
