  • Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements, and maintains custom developed applications.
  • Collaborate proactively with functional users, analysts, and other team members to gather business requirements for reporting.
  • Understand business requirements, determine implementation strategy, and translate into reports that conform to reporting best practices and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Debug, tune and optimize report performance.
  • Responsible for working with any other BI members to maintain and apply coherent, optimized, integrated, and standardized processes and solutions.
  • Reviews technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
  • Collaborates with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.
  • Identifies and documents all system constraints, implications, and consequences of various proposed system changes.
  • Educates end users on system designs and functionalities through creation of training materials and conducting demos.
  • Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
Required Skills:
  • 2+ years’ experience maintaining and monitoring core production systems.
  • 2+ years’ experience working with a mainframe or distributed batch platforms.
  • Ability to explain and use joins, aggregations, pivots and windowed functions when writing queries preferred
  • Ability to build and publish dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, Dynatrace, Splunk or another dashboard tool preferred
  • Microsoft Excel, including charting, functions, and pivot tables experience preferred
