  • Position will lead a team of sourcing professionals to drive progressive sourcing and category strategies in close collaboration and partnership within business units and enterprise functions to deliver forward-looking, proactive and best in industry results in supply chain and supplier risk management practices.
  • Responsible for all aspects of team activities, directing organizational and process change to optimize performance and mitigate risk.
  • Lead and coach strategic projects through all phases.
  • Responsible for leading and controlling scope, quality and schedule while coordinating all team activities and performance.
  • Play a pivotal role in developing and nurturing close partnerships and relationships with primary lines of business and leadership teams to develop progressive and high impact supply chain strategies that support, advance and propel key business goals and strategies.
  • Ensures team consistently and effectively creates, communicates and executes all strategic sourcing programs while continuously looking for ways to improve business relationships and operational performance through robust KPI and operational management techniques.
  • Leader will also ensure complete, accurate and proactive management of all contract inventories, P2P system/project updates, data quality metrics, service levels, supplier risk assessments, and sourcing events.
  • Responsibilities will include participating in commodity strategy development, competitive bid processes, contract negotiation, vendor management and risk assessments related to the professional services categories.
  • The individual will recruit, train, and lead professional services sourcing consultants who possess deep subject matter expertise and best practices in sourcing and negotiating ADM contracts, consulting engagements, training and development master agreements and Statements of Work.
  • This role will also be responsible for supporting the transition of all professional services external labor classes and contractors onto the Coupa CCW platform, ensuring consistent global onboarding and offboarding processes/standards, driving improved data governance, analytics and reporting, continuous process improvement and execution of cost savings opportunities.
  • Will oversee all professional services sourcing activities with high exposure and critical supplier relationships in support of business lines
  • Identify and collaborate with a variety of internal colleagues and workgroups critical to executing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, leading third party relationships and onboarding/offboarding supplier partners – e.g., Legal group, Information Security, Third Party Risk Management, HR, Data Privacy, Compliance, Financial Planning and Analysis, CFOs, Supply Chain Shared Services, other Sourcing Managers, Leaders and team members, etc.
  • Lead/facilitate highly effective fact-based sourcing processes and negotiation strategies to maximize business value and risk mitigation.
  • Work with business partners to maximize compliance and optimize spend against established and preferred engagement procedures, buying channels, supplier contracts and related programs.
  • Support the end-to-end management of critical supplier relationships including constructive handling or resolution of issues and disputes, risk management, contract inventory management, performance and scorecard management, negotiation strategies, etc.
  • Support and enable all required supplier risk management activities within the Lines of Business.
  • Identify and implement consistent and continuous process, policy and performance improvement programs across all areas of responsibility

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or JD strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of strategic sourcing, negotiation, and other relevant procurement management experience preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Experience with direct management of staff and virtual teams.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, business and industry analysis, financial analysis, supplier selection and management, contract negotiations, conflict management, decision making, critical thinking.
  • Extensive experience leading highly complex and challenging sourcing projects, running RFx’s/auctions, and negotiating large, complex third-party supply contracts
  • Very strong analytical ability to develop, analyze and present complex cost models, business cases, and strategic plans
  • Must possess very strong persuasion and individual communication skills
  • Comfortable working in an evolving and dynamic business environment with ability to seamlessly multi-task
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently and effectively lead large projects across multiple parties while delivering industry-leading results
  • Proven agility, disposition and ability to handle very difficult situations with clients and/or vendor negotiations
  • Ability to organize data and exercise highly effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build very strong relationships with internal business partners and experience working with multiple business partners in a collaborative and team-oriented manner.
