• The Database Platform Engineer designs and administers systems that conform to and are consistent with the overall design of the organization’s information systems architecture.
• Responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the organizations database and operating systems.
• Support a mission-critical Datacenter maintenance project by administering RDBMS Oracle database.
• Manage the HA/DR and provide support for backup and restore event scenarios.
• Collaborates with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.
• Identifies and documents all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
• Educates end users on system designs and functionalities through creation of training materials and conducting demos.
• Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems.

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology/Systems of relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or Database Platform Engineer
• Strong experience working in Highly Available & Disaster Recovery scenarios
  • RAC / TAF / Services / Active Data Guard / Flashback / Cloning
• Experience supporting Oracle database technologies in a 24/7 environment.
• Skilled in all aspects of database administration including:
  • Provisioning, backup/recovery, replication, deployment, and real-time production troubleshooting
• Automation scripting experience with Python, YAML, Shell is highly desired
• Strong Cloud fundamentals and principles, including experience working with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
