  • Develop and enhance enterprise Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory engineering standards for a multi-site organization, including operating system and authentication protocols.
  •  Strong knowledge of LDAP and Kerberos
  • Develop technical partnerships with key support, architecture, and operations teams
  • Diagnose Windows Server platform issues in complex, business-critical environments.
  • Provide 3rd-level support for an enterprise-wide Microsoft Windows distributed server platform, including related technologies such as Certificate Services, IIS, Clustering, etc.
  • Design and architect new systems and enhancements to existing infrastructure
  • Produce basic project plans, root cause analysis documents and report on progress to management.    Conduct technical exchange meetings and mentor other engineers
  • Produce internal marketing, educational, strategy material to be shared to peer engineering teams as well as business partners
  • Create test plans, installation guides, technical specifications, and white papers as required
  • Lead in the review and research of new technologies in response to project requirements and business needs
  • Develop implementation and support plans through migration from POC / lab through test and ultimately to production environment.


  • 10+ years hands on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and related technologies, preferably in an engineering (vs. system administration) capacity, including design of infrastructure and integration into new and existing systems
  • 5+ years of functional Engineering group experience, preferably in the financial services sector 


Desired Skills: (Preferred not required)  

  • Excellent conceptual and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Automation and scripting skills, including Powershell experience 
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory and Azure AD Connnect as it relates to Office 365 and Azure 
  • Able to produce detailed technical documentation and server architecture diagrams         
  • Adherence to corporate standards/problem and change management policies
  • Able to mentor and train SA staff
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
