WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Oversee and manage US and Canada payroll processing schedules on a weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly basis.
Drive process improvement efforts to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy, implementing best practices and necessary improvements.
Ensure precise and timely preparation of payroll operations, collaborating closely with HR and accounting to ensure compliance with employment practices and regulations.
Monitor and communicate updates on federal and state payroll regulations, facilitating needed adjustments within relevant departments.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience, with over 10 years of progressive Payroll experience in a multi-state context, including 3-5 years in management.
Strong organizational skills for effective multitasking and adept use of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word; willingness to adapt to new software applications.
Comprehensive knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and regulations, with proven discretion in managing confidential matters and strong problem-solving skills.
Hold CPP Certification or equivalent experience
Familiarity with multi-state withholding, unemployment requirements, Canadian payroll, and Workday is advantageous.
Preference for prior Human Resources or related experience.
