WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Acts as a day-to-day technical/functional expert in assigned area and makes decisions on tactical issues that impact the business.
Monitors technical project teams and directs the allocation of resource requirements necessary to ensure projects are successful and that targets are met.
Provides advanced technical and analytical guidance to project team members
Estimates the costs, resources, and time required to complete each phase of a project portfolio and allocates resources and tasks to ensure these targets are met, typically delegating responsibility to experienced professionals who have shown independence in prior assignments
Develops and implements plan to deliver against established strategic objectives and supervises progress and performance against this plan
Monitors the status of complex portfolios including cost, timing, staffing, and dependencies across multiple inter-related projects, as needed.
Identifies and resolves obstacles to completing project and initiatives on time and to budget.
Develops and communicates portfolio level reporting to senior leaders and approves regular reports that communicate the status of initiatives within and beyond the project/product team.
Supervises the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into projects and product initiatives and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS Required Skills:
7+ years of previous experience in Information Technology
Ability to provide advanced technical and analytical guidance
Experience monitoring the status of complex portfolios
Leadership experience with the ability to build a consensus and collaborative relationship preferred
Proven experience interfacing with diverse stakeholders, developing and implementing process improvements, and team building
Ability to lead a team that can effectively design consistent practices and approaches around OKRs, KPIs and ROI of prioritized work and measurement framework preferred
