WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Manages and performs ongoing administration of enterprise planning and reporting application and related processes to support business critical financial reporting and budget, forecast, and stress cycles. Collaborates with Finance executive management, bank executives, and Information Technology personnel to present accurate and timely information, recommendations and solutions to enable decision making. Prepares and maintains TM1 processes, including SSIS, data transformation and loading, dimensions and hierarchies, and reports and input templates. Provides training as needed.
Provides technical, analytical and upgrade support in maintaining the organization's financial systems and to facilitate business process improvement through effective use of technology and internal control procedures.
Administers the FIS Relationship Manager (RM) loan pricing tool and associated processes in support of Commercial Lenders to ensure optimally priced banking products. Performs metric calculation building, end user support, monthly data loading, data debugging and dimension updating. Maintains accurate record keeping for audit purposes. Regularly consults with Treasury executives, Information Technology and vendor regarding changes or upgrades.
Administers the FIS Customer Profitability system, working with stakeholders, Information Technology and vendor in the implementation and development of the FIS Customer Profitability tool in support of profitability reporting and a risk-adjusted assessment of lender, branch, business unit and product performance.
Manages daily and project-oriented processes (i.e., Single Bank) for TM1, RM, and profitability systems, including building out SQL scripts, running TI jobs, and working with Information Technology as needed. Proactively provides clear communication to end users when daily files are delayed and/or system maintenance/downtime is required.
Works routinely with Accounting and Finance executive management to build out financial Allocations for Actual and Budget data. Works with Finance executives to design and develop profitability reports that align corporate goals with performance measurements. Works with consultants to build out and test new or adjusted logic.
Manages and maintains new, closing or changing General Ledger (GL) accounts on the Master Chart of accounts. Evaluates the implications and makes quantitative decisions that may involve others within the Financial enterprise, upon account request. Keeps accurate change control records for audit purposes, and notifies all parties of the addition or change. Provides cost saving recommendations regarding when to close or reuse inactive accounts.
Responds to and resolves requests from team members and Service Now tickets regarding team member access and software placement. Regularly assists team members with application support, including all Microsoft Office products and TM1, and with various PC issues.
Maintains the distribution of management reports. Generates monthly Parent and Bank Finance books and uploads to Synovus Intranet for offline users during month end close and budget. Ensures upload works as expected and updates Insite accordingly. Provides recommendations to Finance executive management regarding report distribution methods.
Provides effective use of SQL queries/tools for data checking and extraction needs. Works with vendors to resolve support issues, implement system upgrades and/or implement new software. Assists with report development and validation projects, identifying root causes for reporting differences.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of accounting and financial analysis experience
SQL, Python, Power BI, R
Working knowledge of relational database architecture and cube design.
Knowledge and understanding of script MDX logic for TM1 rules and code debugging.
Proficiency using IBM TM1 or comparable financial reporting system.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, SQL and G/L.
