WHAT YOU WILL DO
Acts as SME for project teams in the planning, design, and delivery of technology solutions.
Drives short- and long-term architecture strategy for the overall technology project portfolio for key business segments.
Participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and process improvement to enable business strategy.
Communicates and validates program architecture with technical leadership, program management, business line leadership, and executive level stakeholders.
Develops architectures that are inherently secure, robust, scalable, modular, API-centric and global.
Drives the architecture for key cross team / cross product development projects (via architecture/design documents and developing code key modules).
Consult with Business to understand future requirements and implications for architecture
Identify architecture solution alternatives, driving business requirements, and availability of new technologies
Identify emerging technologies and tools to support architecture(s) and determine architectural roadmaps
Encourage early adoption of tools and architecture across the organization
Work with other Data Science and Analytics leads to manage the Data Science and Analytics priorities
HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Computer Science, Business Administration or similar) or equivalent experience.
7 or more years of IT and business/industry work experience in the financial services industry developing and executing strategic plans and/or project portfolios
Expert knowledge of standards in IT architecture and infrastructure
Ability to develop enterprise guidelines and standards
Works effectively with technical and non-technical staff
Experience in the Development of Data Strategy and associated policies
Experience with Hadoop and NO SQL databases.
Proven knowledge of successful design, architecture and development using Hadoop with large data volumes and AWS Cloud technologies.
Experience with AWS Serverless technologies including Athena, S3, Kinesis, LAMBDA, and GLUE.
Experience with Snowflake, Redshift or other MPP databases
Experience with One or more data Integration Technologies (Nifi, Pentaho, Talend, Informatica, etc.
Continuous delivery and Dev Ops experience - infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging, auditing and security implementation and practices.
Collaborate with Agile teams to recommend the right architectures with high quality and software best practices
Develops tools and processes to enable automated deployment and monitoring of cloud infrastructure and applications.
Expertise in R, Python and predictive analytics.
Integration / Messaging platforms: SNS, SQS, Active MQ, Apache Kafka, Lambda, Kinesis etc.
Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Ansible, Nexus, Software defined networking.
