WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts
Prepare monthly balance sheet & income statement fluctuation analysis
Prepare life insurance and retirement obligation true-up and interest entries
Prepare analysis of P&L items related to corporate expenses
Record monthly accruals for corporate expenses
Reconcile balance sheet accounts for corporate including but not limited to the following: general liability, worker’s compensation, investments, and accrued expenses
Prepare investment accounting entries related to securities held by the company
Set up and maintain recurring entries submitted by the accounting team
Ensure allocations are recorded appropriately to each business units monthly
Take ownership of assigned GL accounts and ensure accuracy, understanding, and consistency of application and compliance with GAAP
Maintain fixed assets for corporate and business units of the company utilizing Sage Fixed Assets
Prepare annual asset verification forms for the company
Provide any ad-hoc reporting requested from either within or outside of the organization
HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; 4+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Organized and able to manage multiple activities timely and with a high degree of accuracy
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with all levels of the organization
