WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Ability to drive transformative sourcing and category strategies in close collaboration and partnership with Engineering, Operations, and Infrastructure to deliver innovative and best in industry results in supply chain and supplier risk management
  • Managing and controlling scope, quality and schedule while overseeing all team activities and performance
  • Ensures team consistently and effectively creates, communicates, and executes all strategic sourcing programs while continuously looking for ways to improve business relationships and operational performance through robust KPI and operational management techniques
  • Proactively develop strategies to improve service quality, lower costs and drive innovation through key supply chain partners supporting the business
  • Identify and collaborate with a variety of internal colleagues and work groups critical to executing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, managing third party relationships and onboarding/offboarding supplier partners

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • 8 -12 years of industry-specific sourcing and category management experience
  • MBA or JD strongly preferred
  • Extremely strong analytical ability to develop, analyze and present complex cost models, business cases, and strategic plans
  • Extensive experience leading highly complex and challenging sourcing projects, running RFx's/auctions and negotiating large, complex third-party supply contracts 
  • Proficiency in computer applications, business and industry analysis, financial analysis, supplier selection and management, contract negotiations, conflict management, decision making, strategic thinking.
