LOCATION:
Itasca, IL - Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Lead a team of accounting business analysts responsible for leading and participating in technology automation and process improvement initiatives, internal control monitoring, and various internal and external reporting.
Work closely with project managers to develop requirements, design, test and implement technology automation and process improvement initiatives.
Direct, review and approve project and process business requirements and testing results.
Analyze and evaluate business processes and recommend actions to streamline processes and improve operational efficiencies.
Design, prepare and/or review written procedures and process flows that meet internal control requirements.
Prepare or review internal control and financial information requests.
Oversee the development of meaningful Accounting Operations and project metrics.
Assist other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that impact Accounting Operations.
Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training and career planning, and maintaining strong associate relationships.
Partner with and monitor 3rd party service providers.
Develop strong relationships with internal and external business partners.
Perform or lead special projects as assigned.
HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:
Degree in Accounting or Finance
2+ years supervisory experience
Experience leading projects and process improvement initiatives
Experience with accounting systems (e.g. SAP, BlacklinePower BI)
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)
Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
High level of interpersonal, critical thinking/analytical, and organization skills
