WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Provide and assist in researching reporting matters in relation to SEC filings and SOX related requirements including accounting principles, financial reporting rules, internal documentation to support due diligence, technical accounting memos, and internal controls.
Coordinate and prepare company's external financial reporting within required filing deadlines.
Establish and develop cadences in relation to a formal calendar/timeline of events associated with all filings including reviews by internal personnel, C-Suite, disclosure committee, and the audit committee of the board of directors and external auditors.
Assists with training internal finance and accounting personnel with regards to SEC reporting practice and procedures, as well as new accounting policies and procedures under US GAAP.
Detail review and preservation of supporting work papers for data and disclosures contained in external financial reports, ensuring the completeness and integrity of all financial disclosures and information to meet the highest of standards including SOX requirements.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
5+ Years of exposure to SEC and SOX related areas
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
CPA – Required
Highly technical and detail oriented on matters related to ASC standards
Strong business partnership and executive communication skills
