WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will take ownership of Mono deploys and make sure the deployments happen in a timely fashion. Someone in this role will work with key stakeholders every step of the way across production and engineering to coordinate Mono deploys. The ideal candidate will be able to assist in identifying and optimizing the existing mono deploy process using SALT/Ansible.

 

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
Principal Expectations:

  • Continuously build tooling around automation for build and release processes pertaining to key components of the web application which include mobile, web backend etc.
  • Should be well versed with version control methodology.
  • Monitor performance and resources which can act as key data points to enable scale up/down build/release infrastructure.
  • Debug and resolve any critical issues that might occur during the code deployment to production/Nonproduction environments.
  • Advocate best practices related to build and release process to various engineering teams across the organization.
  • Document and train (as necessary) key processes and procedures related to build and release processes.
  • Work with the team on critical infrastructure maintenance/enhancements for Github, CircleCI, Jenkins, Artifactory and Google Artifact Registry.
  • Work closely with engineering and help troubleshoot/resolve day to day CI/CD related issues.
  • Document runbooks/manuals as required.
  • Add more automation to existing Slack bots.
  • Optimize monitoring and alerting wherever possible on New Relic and Data Dog.

Mandatory Skills:

  • 3 years of relevant background experience
  • Bash, Python, Terraform, Salt, Ruby, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Jenkins, CircleCI, Github Enterprise, Artifactory (Administration will be a big plus)
  • AWS, GCP
  • New Relic, Datadog ,Splunk
