LOCATION

  • Charlotte, NC - 100% remote for now, then will sit on-site in Charlotte, NC when staff transitions back into the office after October

WHAT YOU WILL DO

We are seeking an innovative and passionate Senior Front End Developer to join our team based in Charlotte, NC. The candidate will be building a web application that offers business-to-business-to-consumer solutions for service providers and consumers. This candidate should have strong HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript skills and experience in building large-scale web applications using React.Python development within a proprietary application that supports Capital Markets trading activities.

  • Write clean, well-tested, reusable quality code, adhering to best practices (and contribute towards continuous improvement of those practices).
  • Partner closely with UI/UX designers, architecture, back end-end API teams and Product to shape requirements and help develop well rounded features.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Actively participating in the recommendation of and setting of the Project’s technical direction and vision.
  • Experience doing Agile spikes on new ideas, and once decisions are made helping to carry out the implementation.
  • Enforce coding standards through peer code reviews and automated testing

 

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6+ years web development
  • 3+ years writing single-page apps using React Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6) Experience utilizing Redux and/or Context API for state management
  • Experience with GIT Experience with common front-end development tools such as Webpack, NPM, etc.
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies Solid unit testing experience with Jest
  • Experience interfacing with RESTful APIs Experience with CSS and/or CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS
  • End to End Testing with Cypress Experience with Azure Dev Ops Experience with at least one cloud environment such as AWS, Azure, etc
  • Knowledge of .NET Core/Framework or other server-side development
  • Experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
