WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Manage a team of 25 collections employees
  • Set cash and aged debt goals for a multi-division team and individual collectors
  • Ensure that collection activities are performed on all accounts with a past-due Accounts Receivable (AR) balance
  • Adopt and manage collection strategies aligned with various customer types including strategic accounts, mid-tier, and small accounts
  • Ensure that customer contacts and collection call volume standards are set and met by the collections team; coach, develop and motivate team in reaching new levels of skills, knowledge and communication style
  • Prepare and present AR reports per schedule and information requests to upper management in a timely manner
  • Drive performance metrics, such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), bad debt percentage and weekly cash receipts
  • Work closely with credit, billing, disputes and cash application Senior Managers and Directors to influence and execute the order-to-cash strategy
  • Provide weekly updates to senior management on the broader state of collections by business unit, in addition to individual risks within the portfolio of accounts

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years of Order to Cash management experience supporting multiple business units
  • Experience managing a large volume of transactions
  • Experience leading and developing a newly organized team
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience leading an order to cash team for a Fortune 500 company
  • Experience across multiple order to cash functions including cash application, credit, disputes, etc
  • Credit Industry group membership and participation
  • Experience leading the transitioning of AR portfolios between delivery sites
