WHAT YOU WILL DO
Acts as SME for project teams in the planning, design, and delivery of technology solutions for the Enterprise Data Platform including a Serverless Data Lake, Cloud Data Warehouse and core data/application pipelines
Ability to define cross-business function processes, driving short- and long-term architecture strategy for the overall technology project portfolio for key business segments
Utilize a standard set of technology frameworks and libraries applying architecture best practices that helps increase execution velocity
Develop architectures that are inherently secure, robust, scalable, modular, API-centric and global.
Identify emerging technologies and tools to support architecture(s) and determine architectural roadmaps, encouraging early adoption of tools and architecture across the organization
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
7+ years of IT and business/industry work experience in the Financial services sector developing and executing strategic plans and/or project portfolios
Proven knowledge of successful design, architecture and development using Hadoop with large data volumes and AWS Cloud technologies.
Expertise in R, Python and predictive analytics.
Experience with AWS Serverless technologies including Athena, S3, Kinesis, LAMBDA, and GLUE.
Experience with Snowflake, Redshift or other MPP databases
Experience with One or more data Integration Technologies (Nifi, Pentaho, Talend, Informatica, etc.)
Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Ansible, Nexus, Software defined networking.
DevOps/DevSecOps: Bitbucket, Jenkins, Gitlab
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Computer Science, Business Administration or similar) or equivalent experience.
