- Manage the monthly financial close process ensuring revenues and costs are properly recorded
- Ensure timely preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Help design and implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and controls across the company
- Work with team members to document processes and internal controls; identify and implement process improvements
- Manage the daily accounts receivable and accounts payable functions with a focus on improving operating cashflow
- Coach, manage, and lead team members focusing on their professional development and growth
- Participate and assist company-wide projects as needed, including the upgrade of our ERP
- Support the Controller for all audit-related requests
- Perform other tasks as requested
- CPA license preferred
- Eight plus years of accounting experience; superior knowledge of accounting guidance
- Prior experiences managing accounting team and non-exempt staff
- Experience within distribution and/or manufacturing industries preferred
- Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Microsoft NAV / BC or similar ERP systems is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, customers, vendors, etc.)
- Ability to make good decisions and seek counsel and guidance when appropriate
- Desire to learn and grow professionally
