WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:
Onsite in Matthews, NC
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Ensure accuracy of financial entries and controls for financial consolidation and reporting.
Requires knowledge of GAAP standards, cost accounting in manufacturing, and intercompany transactions.
Reconcile perpetual inventory reports to the general ledger.
Analyze and resolve inventory-related variances monthly.
Collaborate with colleagues to establish and analyze product costs, bills of materials, standard costing, absorption variance analysis, and obsolescence reserves.
Own the subsidiary process for international and domestic transactions and reports.
Maintain integrity and completeness of translation, elimination, and foreign currency transactions.
Monitor performance highlights.
Participate in annual audits and the business planning process.
Create and maintain required monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist in process improvements to increase efficiency while adhering to accounting policies and internal controls.
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the Assistant Controller on special projects and other assignments as needed based on operational requirements.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
5+ years of relevant experience, including exposure to manufacturing industry and international entity elimination and consolidation processes.
2+ years of Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O experience (a plus).
Solid knowledge of GAAP and manufacturing costing.
Effective prioritization skills with strong attention to detail and meeting established deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to interpret laws and regulations, identifying requirements and related controls.
