WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

• Perform complex accounting work across a variety of areas including JE’s, GL, month, quarter-year end close, fixed assets, AP, AR, and consolidated close
• Analyzing records of journal entries and/or cash transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries.
• Organize and maintain journal entry and supporting documentation ensuring that all entries are adequately supported and organized / accessible facilitating efficient review.
• Assist in the development, modification, documentation and implementation of accounting system and process changes.
• Manage credit card system and travel & expense reporting tool, including issuing and monitoring credit cards, in addition to processing expense reports and serving as the organizations SME over this area.
• Assist and provide support over sales & use tax and property tax
• Identify gaps in current process documentation, author new SOPs, and design process flow maps.
• Review current application of GAAP in various transactions regarding concepts such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, and long-lived asset accounting to ensure proper treatment is applied.
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring a sound internal control environment and participates in the physical inventory count and/or review process as needed.
• Assist in the annual independent audit process by providing information as requested and through various accounting analyses as needed.
• Support various M&A integration activities.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master’s Degree / MBA / CPA preferred
• Four plus years’ related experience and/or training in accounting (mix of public and private experience is preferred)
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint),
• ERP experience, Concur, Infor, or SAP preferred
