WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Manage the overall planning, implementation, and optimization of all activities and support required for the delivery of products to the customers, from materials acquisition through distribution.
  • Primary areas include procurement and contracting, materials management, logistics operations, transportation, and distribution.
  • Obtain materials, components, equipment and services for businesses.
  • Responsible for coordinating and routing.
  • Responsible for getting parts for shortage problems.
  • Maintain records on material flow.
  • Responsible for delivering materials inside and outside company.
  • Work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
  • May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other personnel.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • 5+ years of relevant background experience
  • Experience with planning, implementation, and optimization required for the delivery of products
  • Experience with procurement and contracting
