WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Spearhead global efforts to reshape and redesign entire data ecosystems across the enterprise
• Build repeatable processes to create data endpoints that fuel reports, analytics, and BI platforms
• Leverage Google Cloud (GCP) to create automated pipelines to and from different environments
• Act as a point of view owner and key stakeholder for data-driven initiatives
• Lead both onshore and offshore teams to successfully implement data products and pipelines
• Implement team operating models that foster learning, development, and continuous improvement
• Work with product managers, data engineers, and business analytics to roadmap, plan, and deliver on key data-driven efforts

HOW WILL YOU QUALIFY:

• 5+ years’ experience in data engineering including relevant experience working with Google Cloud or on-premises data solution: creating/supporting ETLs, database administration, data modeling, business partnerships, and teamwork
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working in cloud computing
• Experience building, maintaining, and enhancing automation platforms with Apache Airflow
• Ability to understand the interaction between data flows and business processes
• Good understanding of relational and non-relational data bases including data modeling and data structures
• Experience with data migration to cloud native environment and Big Data environment
• Deep understanding of data warehouse, data cloud architecture, building data pipelines, and orchestration
• Excellent Python and SQL skills (including hands on experience building data pipelines with SQL
