WHY THE ROLE IS IMPORTANT
Responsible for performing and coordinating financial statement reviews, month-end closing procedures, account reconciliations, GAAP and internal policy compliance, capital expenditures tracking, and fixed asset management.
Partner with Director of Finance in sustaining a robust and efficient accounting system
Provide complete, accurate, and timely presentation of all financial statements
Maintain the plant's general ledger, tracking of assets, liabilities, expenses and revenues
Provide leadership and mentorship to direct reporting staff
Serve as liaison in cross-functional teamwork
Assist internal and/or external auditors with periodic auditing of the plant's financial records and statements
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
8+ years’ experience in general accounting
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel functions
Experience with ERP accounting systems and fixed asset software systems
