WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
As the Plant Controller you will play a key leadership role within the finance department and plant leadership team. The Plant Controller will report directly to the Operations Finance Controller and partner with Operations leadership to monitor plant performance and provide financial perspective and decision-making support to drive best-in-class performance.
Play a key role in the leading of new ERP upgrade to a cloud based system
Monitor plant performance and provide financial perspective and decision-making support to drive best-in-class performance
Provide timely and accurate financial information and reporting in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Optimize usage of the ERP system for manufacturing
Finance business partner to the Plant Manager and Plant Leadership team
Lead continuous improvement efforts associated with internal controls, processes, and procedures
Provide financial perspective and decision-making support to improve plant financial performance
Lead reporting and analysis of financial data including understanding drivers associated with business processes, trends, and key performance indicators
Lead development of the annual plant budget and monthly forecasts
Lead month-end reporting requirements including plant actual results compared to budget, forecast, and prior periods
Lead standard cost development for new products
Lead efforts in identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve productivity
Lead to implement proper Inventory Controls and valuation methodology and reconcile the perpetual inventory with General Ledger
Education and Experience
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
5+ years of similar manufacturing finance experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting
Strong analytical ability, good organization skills, and excellent time management skills
Experienced in large ERP implementations and/or upgrades (Oracle, JDE, SAP, NetSuite, etc.)
Ability to build trustworthy relationships with business partners and build rapport across the organization
Continuously seeks opportunities to enhance knowledge and processes
