WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Process semi-monthly and supplemental payrolls for a multi-state environment
Process and review new hires, terminations, payroll file maintenance changes and deductions
Review timesheets, time off accruals and reports to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
Review and process verification of employment forms
Review and process garnishments
Troubleshoot problems with paychecks, tax deductions, timecard issues and other payroll related matters
Respond to questions from employees regarding paychecks, direct deposits and/or general payroll questions
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide high-quality customer service
Assist accounting with researching and resolving funding discrepancies
BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
1-2 years of experience in Payroll administration in a rapid growth environment
Detail oriented and extremely well organized
Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment meeting tight deadlines
Proficient PC skills including proficient at an intermediate to advance level in Excel, Word, and Outlook, with high attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communications skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively across and at all levels of the organization
