WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Oversee accounting for a fast growing segment of the business and demonstrate a thorough understanding of credit risk and CECL methodology through the establishment of accounting processes and controls.
Support M&A-related due diligence and post-acquisition system integrations.
Prepare a monthly management reporting package with variance analysis explanations and key metrics.
Ensure proper classification and recording of revenue, expenses, and other day to day accounting items.
Review monthly analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries prepared by the Finance Operations team.
Lead quarterly and Year-end audits for the Finance Operations team.
Continuously review current processes and systems for compliance and efficiencies. Identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
Support SOX compliance initiative.
Lead process improvements, automation, and finance systems implementations.
Monitor rebates calculations for customers and strategic partners. Review customer contracts and provide recommendations for rebate structure.
Review commissions and bonus calculations for internal teams. Partner with sales and supplier services organizations to provide guidance on variable compensation structure.
Review contractual arrangements with strategic partners. Analyze the deal structure for revenue and gross margin opportunities. Provide oversight to revenue share calculation for strategic partners.
Train, develop, and grow the accounting team members’ skills.
HOW WILL YOU QUALIFY:
7+ years of accounting experience with general ledger functions, month-end/year-end close process, and reporting
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years of people management experience (both functionally and administratively)
Inquisitive nature about how transactions affect the financial statements
Understanding of GAAP, financial statement relationships, and external financial reporting
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills necessary
Strong computer skills, including SQL and advanced Excel
