WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Responsible for the successful day-to-day operations of network infrastructure systems for corporate office, plants, and remote offices.
Work closely with both the user community and other technology teams in order ensure the network
infrastructure needs of the business are satisfied.
Serve as leader for the Network Infrastructure team.
Responsible for procurement, maintenance and operations of business network infrastructure at Corporate
and plant locations.
Provide leadership to employees, contractors, and partners who support the day-to-day operations and
special projects of the network infrastructure platform in the following activities:
Configuration and support for network systems, security systems, and related software.
Maintain and configure network routing protocols for LAN and WAN systems
Support MPLS, private line, VPN WAN systems, and all telecom services.
Manage and maintain core infrastructure systems (DHCP, DNS, SNMP, etc.)
Responsible for Tier 1 and Tier 2 technology support for network infrastructure systems.
Recommend suitable network technology infrastructure additions, upgrades or removal in order to
support the short and long term business and IT strategies.
Serve as project manager for technical/network infrastructure projects and be responsible for managing
resources and timelines in order to achieve project deliverables.
Support network infrastructure assessment/due diligence and integration activities for all acquisitions
Evaluate overall network infrastructure capacity in order to ensure optimal system performance.
Identify areas for improvement, develop improvement programs and monitor improvements to increase
process efficiency and reduce costs.
Manage network infrastructure related spend to ensure that spend levels are at or below assigned
Provide network support leadership as part of the Incident Response Plan/Process.
HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Strong Project Management experience and skills.
CCNA/CCNP certification with three or more years of real-world LAN/WAN network and security experience.
Knowledge of the OSI network model
Seven or more years of related networking and telephony experience with at least three years in a management role in a network infrastructure environment.
Extensive experience with the following technologies: Cisco IOS, Palo Alto and Fortigate firewalls,
Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, and in developing and maintaining
access controls and firewall rules to maximize security.
Demonstrated experience providing infrastructure leadership in developing detailed designs,
solutions and project plans.
Strong knowledge of the technologies used to support home office and remote locations.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be able to take initiative and responsibility for projects.
