WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Responsible for the execution of acquisitions, from initial analysis through due diligence, onboarding, and integration.
  • Participate in initial discussions with potential acquisition targets. Gain an understanding of key metrics such as company size, revenue mix, and profitability.
  • Facilitate the execution of non-disclosure agreements and information requests.
  • Discuss potential acquisition targets with investment bankers, business brokers and other industry partners
  • Effectively communicate with sellers who may be unfamiliar with the transaction process.
  • Manage information requests from the target company.
  • Prepare a Quality of Earnings analysis. Discuss accounting policies and procedures with target management. Quantity potential adjustments to EBITDA. Analyze net working capital and debt-like items.
  • Assist with post-transaction accounting, including net working capital true-ups and opening balance sheets.

PROFILE FOR SUCCESS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field with a track record of strong academic performance.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
  • 2+ years of transaction advisory or related mergers and acquisitions experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and US GAAP. CPA preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to discuss financial and transaction-related concepts with sellers.
  • Experience in the lower middle market preferred.
