WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
- Write SQL code in Oracle to complete comparative analysis of data from source to target to quickly identify data integrity or conversion issues.
- Work with IT mainframe team to complete and analyze current-state solutions, primarily SQL and UI review of the legacy system(s) and target application(s) data to recommend target-state, remediation solutions and enhance or develop data validation / conversion processes.
- Deliver quantity and quality results within established timeline; leverage developed SQL reporting to complete comparative analysis between the source and target data in the migration space.
- Become a subject matter expert by combining technical knowledge and business acumen, to creatively share the completion of the migration cycles and current status of the data.
- Explain the results with every-day terms rather than technical terms.
- Deliver support of the converted and merged date to enable additional functional testing success.
- Produce test cases; and execute tests within planned based upon the program deliverables; research test results when defects/bugs are found to help pinpoint root cause of data differences.
- Able to prioritize multiple aspects of the development work, data analysis, reporting enrichment and test execution to complete each aspect of the migration cycle within the established timeframes to meet business stakeholder requirements.
- Navigate through research of source data fields and profiling to provide recommendations for data governance updates and document data lineage from source to target.
- Research and help develop data clean-up strategies, data mapping documents, data migration documentation to support the movement of data for governance and controls.
- Enhance Power BI reporting to support the migration data validation results.
- Help develop reporting to support merge of migrated data in multiple phases and review/analyze the migrated data and production data during the merge process to provide evidence of successful migrations.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree is preferred
- Excellent Oracle SQL Developer skills is a must with at least 3 years of experience – read, write, and execute Oracle SQL code.
- Excellence with qTest and test process experience, throughput and reporting.
- MS Office skills – proficient in Excel query building, experience in Access, understands and can write VB code.
- Business and financial services experience as well as an understanding of the need for technical review of data and data management.

- Database administration (Installation, configuration and management, patching and upgrade of the database environments)

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
Principal Expectations:
- Research and analyze current state accounting and link our current state accounting practices to their future equivalent
- Develop comprehensive accounting documentation for new servicing and accounting system, based on a “To Be” vision of processes
- Present deliverables to operations and accounting stakeholders
- Assist in testing of new system GL output
- Assist with deployment activities including readiness training for various stakeholders within the CFO organization
- Liaise with key stakeholders and other functional areas, such as Corporate Accounting, Operations, and IT
- Continuously identify business process improvements
- Participate in other project related work and adhoc analyses
- Learn the auto finance product accounting at both an operational and regulatory level
- Validation of accounting test cases (reviewing test results to ensure system is behaving as expected)
- Provide accounting representations to ensure any downstream accounting impact is recognized and properly tested
- Collaborate as part of a team to resolve and troubleshoot issues
- Perform analyses using Excel.

Mandatory Skills:
- BS/BBA degree in Accounting/Finance required
- 3-5 Years of experience in Accounting/Finance, preferably in IT projects in a Finance & Accounting capacity
- Working knowledge and appreciation of month-end financial close and internal reporting processes
- ALFA software experience
- Auto Finance industry experience
- Working knowledge and appreciation of cross-system, cash, and intercompany reconciliations
- JIRA / Qtest / Power BI
- SAP
- Oracle SQL
- Proficient MS Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail balanced with knowing the right level necessary to deliver on requirement
