WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Be the hands-on, results-oriented leader who will develop and grow the new data science function.
- Work directly with leaders and clinical teams within the organization to help identify high value opportunities to apply data science methods and deliver meaningful and actionable insights to move forward on specific high-level system quality and operational improvement goals.
- Responsible for establishing clear goals, developing future state
core competencies within the team, and build a culture of open communication and collaboration. - Represent the Data & Insights team within the organization and independently gather requirements from customers at all levels and select the best tool to create models to support business
decisions. - Bridge the gap between the deep technical understanding of the data scientists/decision scientists and the business leaders to clearly explain the models and their benefits and drive
adoption.
HOW WILL YOU QUALIFY:
- Master’s Degree in Analytics/Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Public Health or related Professional work experience is required.
- Experience with a variety of Machine Learning techniques, like Clustering and Decision Trees, and the ability to demonstrate real world application of the techniques.
- Strong grasp of Data Engineering, Statistics, predictive modeling, NLP, and optimization.
- Strong experience with end-to-end components of modeling pipeline, including Data Selection and Engineering, model selection and creation.
- Strong experience with data visualization, and presentation of results
- Experience with monitoring of effectiveness and implementing improvements.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or R, SQL, Excel and BI Tools.
- Strong experience with Tableau and/or PowerBI
- Previous experience in the healthcare space is preferred
- Must be a clear and effective communicator with experience managing/leading a team.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
- 80% service and 20% sales duties, or as previously determined by manager. (These percentages may vary by several factors including territory, market share and available opportunities.)
- Schedule meaningful sales appointments to promote Rx Returns and Compliance Solutions offerings; effectively present to and close sales opportunities to hospital and independent retail pharmacies.
- Interface with customers on a professional level, handling concerns and providing education on all services and regulatory compliance issues.
- Travel to scheduled locations throughout assigned territory, servicing pharmacies by facilitating the pharmaceutical returns process. Ensure the customer has all tools needed for proper return of products.
- Prospecting and up selling products and solutions to the current customer base.
- Responsible for accurately inventorying all controlled substances and completing proper DEA documentation as required by law.
- Prepare and package the returns shipments consistent with the company procedures and requirements.
- Accurately prepare all internal documentation such as itineraries, supply requisitions and expense reports and submit according to established procedures.
- Perform miscellaneous administrative duties such as email, phone calls, CRM maintenance and follow up as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company Injury and Illness Prevention program.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
- Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 2 or more years of experience in sales and territory management or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the job responsibilities.
- Intermediate experience in all Microsoft and Google product suites.
- Salesforce or other CRM- based tool experience preferred.
