LOCATION:
Charlotte, NC - 100% remote for now, then will sit Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) when staff transitions back into the office after February.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Establish open and effective communication with management and work collaboratively with functional partners across the organization during the completion of audit activities.
Audit projects will include unsecured lending processes, including credit card and personal lending
Leads (act as auditor-in-charge) the execution and documentation of all phases of assigned audits in accordance with Audit Services Methodology.
Leads the development of audit scope, testing procedures, and testing approaches to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, governance, and risk management, including detailed test of design, test of effectiveness, substantive testing, and data analytics (if applicable).
Generally, leads one audit project at a time.
Performs project management of assigned audits, including execution within defined budgets and timelines, and timely communication with Audit management.
Supervises assigned auditors on a project-by-project basis to assess audit staff against established performance and leadership criteria; provide timely, honest, and meaningful feedback and project evaluations.
Can easily identify root causes and articulate their relevance. Provides meaningful recommendations.
Train, mentor, and develop staff auditors and act as a knowledge resource.
Support continuous process improvement by identifying needs and opportunities and recommending appropriate process changes; champion common audit process approach; recommend process changes to maintain the highest quality standards.
HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study
3+ years of financial services/audit experience, with credit card focus strongly preferred
