Principal Expectations:

  • Reviews that designed system solutions are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture
  • Manages large projects and processes, while also coordinating efforts among the Business Systems team.
  • Provides solutions for IT and business management concerning the application of technology to business opportunities, planning and implementation of cross-functional applications.
  • Monitors feedback on the use of business applications, enhancing system productivity as needed.
  • Translates business requirements into application requirements, while working with all members of the team to execute the application successfully.
  • Reviews cost estimates of various system solutions and reviews project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
  • Engages client teams and explains complex security initiatives in an understandable manner, while also addressing any hesitations or concerns from the client.
  • Monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems, as necessary.
  • Coaches and sometimes delegates work to lower-level professionals.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Engineering or Equivalent
  • 10+ years of Buy/Sell side experience working at Hedge Fund/Investment Manager development related to complex and strategically relevant projects
  • Strong technical experience in creating solutions in EAGLE IWS, EAGLEML, Message Center, Panel, PACE ETL, UNIX shell scripting, XML, XSLT, MQ, MQFTE, Autosys,  Sterling Integrator, Oracle 12c, SFTP and Data Distribution Framework knowledge. Data Lake knowledge on Zaloni will be a big plus
  • Strong expertise on the following Eagle Investment Systems suite of products: STAR, PACE, Account Reference Manager, Reference data management - SRM (Security Reference Manager), Pricing Center, Workflow Manager, Scheduler, Message Center, Data Mart, Reporting, and Performance Measurement module
  • Strong expertise on Trade Processing in Eagle with various OMS (Charles River, Bloomberg AIM, Murex) and Trade Settlement processing in TDMS (Trade Data Management System, a light speed product)
  • Strong expertise on Eagle Pricing Center in Eagle with various Pricing vendors (Reuters, IDC, MarkIT etc.) with exposure to IWS (Integration and Workflow Studio) module.
