WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Solution Trains using various tools, such as the Solution Kanbans.
Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Solution Backlogs, Solution Kanbans, Solution Trains, Solution Demos, and Program Increments (PIs).
Facilitate Solution Planning and PI Planning readiness via fostering the preparation of Vision and Backlogs, and via Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings.
Aggregate into Solution PI Objectives, Program PI Objectives, and Team PI Objectives (and publish them for visibility and transparency).
Aggregate program PI objectives into Solution PI Objectives (the STE) and publish them for visibility and transparency.
Assist with execution and Capability and Capability-Enablers completion tracking.
Coordinate with the ePMO to align on common approaches to project and portfolio management.
Help manage risks and dependencies.
Escalate and track impediments.
Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks.
Help drive the Lean User Experience (UX) innovation cycle.
Report status to Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) and support related activities.
Understand and operate within Lean Budgets.
Facilitate Solution Demos and System Demos.
Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the Solution Train, Agile Release Train, and Agile Teams help improve lean and agile thinking.
Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-in Quality practices.
Work closely with stakeholders in the business units and group functions to gather, document, and validate business requirements for new technology projects & programs.
Work with the executive team to ensure process owners are in place for all business processes.
Maintain and track large program plans to ensure inter-dependencies between projects and programs are well managed.
Ensure the optimal methodology (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid) is utilized for each project in the Portfolio.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences, or related field from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
10+ years of IT experience
5+ years in a Portfolio/Program management position
Strong knowledge of both Agile methodologies.
Experience managing a large portfolio of interdependent IT projects.
Previous experience analyzing and documenting complex business processes.
Partnering skills by building effective relationships with business leaders along with the ability to deliver executive-level presentations, briefings, and summaries.
Strong organization and planning skills with very high attention to detail.
Ability to research, analyze, make recommendations, and evaluate technical requirements, functions, processes, and code to improve software development
