WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Inventory management, accuracy, variance and usage analysis, process controls
  • Manage receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations to maintain inventory stockroom and organization.
  • Manage Kanban/Pull Signal replenishment system, strong interface with Purchasing and Suppliers.  Ensure process controls are maintained.
  • Maintains inventory revision and FIFO controls
  • Ensures transfer of all new inventoried items into established process controls
  • Monitors inventory levels and reconciles to operating system
  • Manages periodic physical inventory count process, cycle counts
  • Performs obsolescence and engineering change inventory impact reviews and manage process controls
  • Plans and implements new design layouts as required
  • Initiates, implements, and monitors safe, efficient material handling practices
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations

 

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations or related field
  • 5 years’ experience in Inventory Management field, progressive responsibility growth and advancement desired. Prefer experience in equipment or instrumentation manufacturing industry
  • Experience in managing manufacturing demand, replenishment and inventory processes
  • ERP conversion experience a plus
  • Experience in project management
  • Strong communication and analysis skills
  • Lean manufacturing and ISO-9000 training a plus
