HR Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

WHY THE ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Recruitment and Staffing:
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
Conduct job interviews and manage the selection process.
Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of labor laws and regulations related to recruitment.
Handle employee relations matters with sensitivity and professionalism.
Address employee grievances and concerns in a fair and timely manner.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Implement and participate in performance appraisal processes.
Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans.
Monitor and track employee performance and provide feedback.
Develop and maintain a system for recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
Training and Development:
Works closely with training team to support roll-outs of new modules.
Act as SME for training material pertaining to HR dept.
Ensure compliance training is up to date and completed.
HR Administration and Compliance:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR files.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations at all times.
Prepare and submit required HR reports to regulatory agencies.
Manage HR-related documentation, such as employment contracts and policies.
Work with PEO to ensure smooth roll out of open enrollment
Assist employees with benefit inquiries and claims.
Stay informed about changes in benefit laws and regulations.
Employee Engagement and Communication:
Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.
Foster open and effective communication channels within the organization.
Organize and facilitate company-wide meetings and events.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Proven experience as an HR manager or in a similar HR leadership role.
Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office Suite.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
