WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Provide technical help desk assistance to computer system user in person and remotely.
  • Answer inquiries regarding computer software or hardware of a low to mid complexity.
  • Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors
  • Installation and setup of mobile technician laptops.
  • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.

 

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Associate's degree in computer related field or equivalent training required.
  • 2-3 years prior experience in an IT Service Desk/Customer Call Center environment.
  • Basic knowledge of switches, routers, patch panels – basic overall knowledge regarding connectivity.
  • Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration of various applications, desktop phone software, and operating system software.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
