WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Interface with Finance, Planning, and Manufacturing as needed on new/existing orders
  • Contract review tracking
  • Data entry into Corning Prism (PeopleSoft) databases
  • Customer visits / department meetings – lead or assist in coordinating room, meeting logistics, catering and assist with department team meetings / activities
  • File organization and maintenance – both electronic and paper files
  • Records retention at Iron Mountain
  • Travel arrangements
  • Offsite meeting arrangements
  • Commercial vehicle maintenance and usage schedule
  • Commercial office supplies
  • Provide overall general administrative support to the entire Advanced Commercial organization
  • Vacation and out-of-office personnel coverage
  • Customer financial reports
  • Project cost tracking
  • Project forecast
  • Project administration
  • Plant finance reporting

 

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Previous work experience from other office positions preferred
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision (can plan/organize activities based on objectives)
  • Effective time management, prioritization and accuracy skills
  • Ability to be timely, well organized and accurate with work tasks
  • Able to work with cross functional teams and work well with others in a cooperative

Environment

Experience with Microsoft Office Applications; Outlook, Excel (excel proficient formulas,

datasheets, linking, pivot tables would be a plus), Word, PowerPoint & creating and using

Access AdHoc Queries (Access database knowledge & use)

Experience with PeopleSoft preferred

Strong communication & interpersonal skills

Basic Accounting experience
