WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  •  The Wireless PMO team is responsible for Program Management and Project Management activities for Corning Wireless In-Building solutions such as the SpiderCloud ERAN, Corning ONE DAS and Mobile Access Legacy DAS product lines.
  • The Project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of deployment projects of Corning Wireless networks in carrier and enterprise sites throughout the United States. This includes working with Field Engineers, Solution Engineers, Support Engineers, third-party system integrators, major wireless carriers, and customer enterprise IT departments
  • Plans and direct schedules budgets
  • Monitors projects from initiation to delivery
  • Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis and data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Exercises judgement within generally defined practices and policies.

 

  • THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
  • Experience working with LTE or UMTS wireless networks
  • Strong technical skills in data equipment such as routers, switches and wireless LAN; wireless core, practical cabling standards
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands on experience in wireless networks and POE+LANs
  • Experience with field deployments, technology acceptance processes and support services
  • Must be a strong problem solver, self-motivated and analytics
