WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:

  • Remote with travel between Corning, NY and Charlotte, NC

 

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Program (multiple interdependent projects) planning coordination and development
  • Program master plan creation and maintenance in coordination with key stake holders. Receives schedule and scope inputs from program interdependency council
  • Program governance and management in coordination with Program Core Leadership team
  • Project management process use and compliance
  • Program communication planning and execution – setting appropriate expectations, communicating status with all stakeholder groups, escalating issues and concerns when warranted. Partner with Program Communications lead if and when role created.
  • Facilitate or Participate in various program and project meetings
  • Track and communicate program (and selective project) status – proactively monitor risk factors
  • Work with the sponsor to ensure the planned business value is progressing according to plan
  • Coordinate (with VMO and Procurement) vendor management (RFI, RFP, SOW, etc.)
  • End user training planning and coordination in partnership with the program Change Management team
  • Change management addressed in organization, technology, architecture, and business readiness
  • Coordination of quality outcomes through risk management, test management and quality process management
  • Execution of project plan deliverables, including operational readiness with the appropriate project team members. Partner with deployment and go-live leads if and when roles are created.
  • Issue facilitation and resolution
  • Resource management (collaboratively with the Program Core Leadership team) to ensure the correct resources are available in a timely manner with the sufficient skillsets to meet project needs
  • Financial Management of program budget providing forecast and general spend reporting including conducting earned value analysis

 

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • 10+ years of project management experience
  • Extensive and recent experience of ERP or complex applications deployments in a large enterprise (i.e. SAP ECC, SAP S/4)
  •  Demonstrates an understanding of a broad range of Applications technology towers (i.e., ERP, MES, Commercial, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, multiple strands of work simultaneously
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving, and the ability to understand and solve complex-cross system issues within the enterprise
  • Self-driven with the ability to manage workloads without direct supervision
  •  Ability to collaborate with different technology owners to achieve common goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication capability at all levels of the corporation
  • Focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure
  • Good presentation skills; persuasive, encouraging, motivating, and inspiring; the ability to listen and understand
  • Financial acumen
  • Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete objectives
  • Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge to others
  • Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) or related program methodology
  • Executive Influencing and related written and oral communications
