WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Ensure a smooth workplace accommodation process for employees through the coordination of all administrative processes including complex phone conversations, email communication, documentation review, and data entry
  • Assist employees who are requesting accommodation by walking them through the process, determining if they qualify for the accommodation and either getting the accommodation approved or explaining alternatives
  • Maintain HRIS database through timely and accurate entry of information
  • Promote a positive work culture by overseeing aspects of employee relations and ensuring that company policies are administered fairly and consistently
  • Navigate employees and leaders through changes to HR policies and procedures through effective communications during implementation
  • Adhere to state and federal compliance requirements through accurate maintenance of employee records
  • Perform additional duties related to the position as assigned

 

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Two or more years of human resources generalist experience
  • Experience dealing with employees in a professional and empathic manner while maintaining the confidentiality of client and company information
  • Proven prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to make decisions and resolve issues while working under pressure
  • Track record of working independently and showing good judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties
  • Advanced knowledge of state, local and federal employment laws and procedures, and federal wage and hourly laws
  • In-depth understanding of employee relations procedures and applicable laws
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills with all levels of an organization
