WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Responsible for the development, implementation, and compliance of EHS programs, processes, and procedures.
Primary responsibility for the development and implementation of safety programs that directly support the OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) Program.
This position develops process related information in support of any PSM affected equipment; provides support where needed in other safety and all environmental programs; support may include the development of training programs, technical support, and assistance to all US operations to include; manufacturing, distribution and administrative locations.
This position serves as the subject matter expert specific to ergonomics and provides guidance on the design, install and retrofit of equipment in support employee/machine interaction.
Directly assists with compliance activities for OSHA’s Process Safety Management Standard; develops/reviews work instructions to ensure adequate safe operating parameters, emergency shutdown procedures, etc.; assists with updating Process Safety Information; assists with refining mechanical integrity process; assist with the updates of training content for contractor who must work on PSM related equipment. Manages and oversees the PSM Management of Change process
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
3 years of experience in a related engineering or safety role
Graduation from a four year ABET accredited engineering curriculum in Chemical, Mechanical, Bio or other Safety discipline
