WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Develops a comprehensive total rewards strategy for the organization
Assesses the effectiveness of current programs in achieving organizational objectives
Develops recommendations for modifications to align to HR strategy and business goals
Supports the development and integration of new and/or existing programs, policies and procedures to ensure that programs are market competitive, internally equitable, and cost effective
Health and Welfare Benefits
Plans the implementation and administers all benefit plan changes including annual open enrollment communication and administration efforts
Engages with employees on benefits issues that arise on a day-to-day basis
Manages all regulatory changes affecting benefit plans
Ensures company benefit plans and practices are in compliance with external regulatory requirements
Manages all ACA reporting activities
Ensures company provides competitive retirement savings plans that provide employees with an opportunity to retire at the appropriate time
Compensation
Evaluates the compensation landscape to understand and learn from best practices through benchmarking and industry research and employment trends and makes recommendations
Assesses the competitiveness of both direct and variable compensation plans to ensure plans drive employee engagement and retention
Supports all compensation planning processes
Manages and collaborates with vendors and external partners, including managing performance of contracts to ensure maximum value of services is delivered
Develops and coordinates communications strategies and activities designed to educate and inform employees about total rewards
Manages wellness, rewards and recognition programs for the company
Implement metrics that assesses and monitors the effectiveness of ongoing Total Rewards programs and new initiatives
Performs other duties as requested.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, technology, human resources or related field or equivalent combination of training and experience
Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) certification, PHR or SHRM-CP a plus
5 to 7 years’ experience in Total Rewards (Compensation, Benefits, Wellness) including experience with self-insured plans, as well as people metrics and data analytics
Sound knowledge of the Regulatory and Legislative imperatives and impacts related to Total Rewards programs (FLSA, Sec 125, ERISA, 409A, HIPAA, etc.)
Experienced with vendor-relations and multi-state employers preferred
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work through processes, identify and implement process improvements and resolve complex matters
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, as well as strong Excel skills
Strong organizational/prioritization skills with an ability to multi-task to manage multiple projects while maintaining a close attention to detail
