WHERE THIS SITS:
Charlotte, NC
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Manage and oversee all aspects of various insurance programs and serve as point of contact for all the Company’s insurance needs
Recommend decisions on risk management and coverage cost issues affecting the organization.
Develop and implement strategic objectives, ensuring effective hazard, environmental, safety and security (typically insurable risks) risk management for the organization and lead key risk stakeholders to proper strategies.
Own the process of identifying, measuring and managing insurable risks, developing reports and plans, and analyzing risk/insurance problems and defining and/or overseeing the implementation of risk solutions that optimize operations.
Report findings on risk exposures to VP of HR and CFO including developing and managing an internal ERM program.
Manage the company’s OSHA reporting and ensure compliance
Lead claims management process for settlement of designated claims
Collaborate with Human Resources on worker’s compensation program (light duty, return to work requirements, etc.) and help identify work-related injury trends
Prepare loss analyses and budgets, identifying exposures, recommending solutions, implementing approved programs, promoting loss prevention, summarizing and presenting same to executive management.
Update and monitor compliance with insurance procedures and manage safety/risk management manuals.
Maintain database of subcontractor agreements
Lead the annual insurance audit
Manage vehicle licensure and registration
Ensure all drivers have proper licensure and up-to-date training
Travel to various branches as required
Perform all other duties as assigned.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
5+ years’ experience in a claims management, Health and Safety or risk management-related role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
Deep understanding of insurance plans and programs
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work with minimal oversight.
Proficient in MS Office Suite and document management systems.
