WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

The Director of Logistics will be responsible for a team that is dedicated to managing corporate owned warehouses for the company's Platform Services businesses across a range of product categories, including Heating & Cooling products, Exhaust products, Filtration products and other automotive and shop supplies

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage our 3PL and Corporate owned warehouse facilities across North America.
  • Develop reporting and KPIs on inventory, pick /pick efficiency, and other relevant metrics to drive performance of the warehouse
  • Development and implementation of new WMS Systems (Oracle)
  • New warehouse set up and launches across North America as the company expands its footprint.
  • Evaluating and developing procurement strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize cost, and negotiating supplier contracts
  • Report on and propose solutions to executive leadership on current gaps in performance and potential opportunities

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years warehouse management & logistics experience
  • WMS experience, development, implementation & execution
  • Experience building and managing 3PLs & working with teams across the country
  • Strong analytical skills & Fluency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required,
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms, large databases and ERPs preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ownership mentality, desire to learn, work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify and assess issues and provide sound recommendations consistent with good business practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
